Curricular Example of Case-Base Approach

In all the units, students are introduced to the environmental case in the first lesson and revisit it periodically throughout the unit. In Unit 1, the students are given the following letter as an introduction to the tension between human population growth and land resources.

Students will have revisited the case throughout the other chapters in this unit. As the end of the unit, students will pull together the information they learned from the previous chapters to inform their decision.
