Each chapter opens with a chapter overview, lesson overview and then the activity page.

The chapter overview helps students see the connections between the chapters and make the content connection to the decision they need to make for in the final activity.

The lesson overview helps students see the connections between what they are about to learn in the various activities relates to their environmental decision.

2. Identifies the important content students should be aware of while doing the activities.

The activity pages are designed to support student learning by posing an essential question to them at the beginning of the lesson and revisiting that question at the end of the lesson. Activity can range from hands-on, computer-based, classroom discussion, data analysis and readings.
